Course Information

Who Is This For?
Anyone with an interest in creating their own natural and ethical bodycare products that are kind to the skin, animals and planet. This workshop aims to provide you with the ability to make your own amazing bodycare products at home. It can be used as a separate workshop or a progression from previous workshops covering the use of flower waters, herbal infusions carrier oils, butters and waxes.
What Will I Learn?
You will learn how to make at least 8 unique products from the recipe booklets provided. During the workshop you will be given details about flowers, herbs, oils, butters and other ingredients used to create the products. You will learn about various methods involved in making bodycare products, ensuring that their full qualities are retained. Information will be given on the benefits, properties and uses of the ingredients for different skin and hair types and some associated conditions.
Content of the Course
Creating a range of bodycare products using a variety or different ingredients. Recipes will include Shower Scrubs, Body Wash, Bath Melt, Bath Salts, Shampoos, Conditioners, Rinses, Hair Treatment.

Teaching Methods
This workshop is designed as a fun, informative DIY experience. You will have access to all the details, equipment and materials needed to make the recipes yourself. Guidance is available as and when required, but the emphasis is on empowering people to make their own choices and unique creations.
What's Next?
You will have recipes to create the bodycare products at home and the knowledge of how to vary some of the elements to make nourishing products tailored to your own requirements.

Financial Information

If your course costs more than £200 you may apply to pay in three instalments.

You must complete and sign an instalment form. The first payment will be taken on application, followed by a further payment at the start of the course and a final payment 2 months later. Please note that a handling charge of 10% of the course fee (up to a maximum of £30) is added to all instalment payments. You will still be liable for the full cost of the course if you leave the course prior to all instalments being paid. Please contact the Registry Department on 01273 546604 for further information.

No refunds are given once a course has started. If a course is cancelled by the college you will receive a full refund of all fees paid. If you decide to cancel your enrolment before the class starts your payment will be refunded less a 20% administration charge (up to a maximum of £50). If you decide to cancel your enrolment for a Saturday workshop less than 72 hours before the class your payment will be refunded less an 80% administration charge.
