Student Union Make yourself heard…
In the Spring of Year One, students have the opportunity to stand for a variety of positions on the Student Union and represent the student body of the college. Positions include: President, Communications Officer, Democracy Officer, Environment Officer and Wellbeing Officer and more.
Elected members of the SU become involved in organising:-
- Freshers' Events
- Student run events around college
- Welfare
- Campaigns and charities
- Societies around college
- Environmental issues
- Leavers' Party

Why should you join the Varndean College SU?
You will have the chance to represent your peers and bring about the changes you would like to see. You will ensure the College maintains its strong student voice. It will teach you many transferable skills such as democracy and teamwork. It is a great thing to have on your CV, UCAS personal statement, or job application.
All students are directly part of the Student Union and everyone is encouraged to participate in the student elections, not only if they wish to gain a position on the Student Union Executive, but also because participating in the campaigns is fun!
