Congratulations to Childcare & Early Years student Naomi Kerse (ex Downlands School) who has been given a full scholarship to study at Brighton University from September.
Naomi said: “I have been fortunate to receive the Chubb Foundation Scholarship. Hendon Chubb established the foundation to provide scholarships to deserving students in families of qualified Chubb employees. In order to be given this opportunity I had to write about my past experiences, details of my college course and why I thought I would be a suitable applicant for the scholarship. Once I was accepted into the semi-final I was then required to write a statement highlighting charity work that I had undertaken and reasons for why I wanted to become a primary school teacher. I was delighted to hear that I had been awarded a full scholarship for my 3 years at Brighton University studying Primary Education (5-11 years) BA (hons) with QTS.”
Well done Naomi – we are very proud of you.
