Varndean College students have access to a wide range of IT facilities within the College. Computers and printers are available for students’ use in the Library and our dedicated student study suite.
The library has 57 PCs for students to use, 48 are in the main library area, 8 are in the silent study room and 1 is in the individual study/interview room. All of these PCs are connected to There are also 30 Chromebooks that students can use in the library only. In addition we have an external DVD drive, 2 card readers, headphones and charging cables that can be used by students in the library.
Our student study suite has 35 computers, as well as a multifunction device, for printing, scanning and photocopying. There are also a number of desks available should you wish to bring your own device. There are also a number of smaller study areas in the college with computers available, such as within our Careers and Additional Learning Support departments. As well as our dedicated study areas, most classrooms are equipped with Chromebooks for use within lessons, or PCs for more specialist work.
