Varndean College’s Adult & Community Learning programme continues in January 2022 with a new round of classes in Bevendean, Moulsecoomb, Hollingdean, Woodingdean and online. Whether it’s for leisure, personal development or to get fitter and healthier, research shows that joining an adult education class has a positive effect on mental & physical health as well as overall well-being.
In Moulsecoomb & Bevendean we are offering the popular Art for All at St. George’s Hall as well as Lino-printing with Chine-Colle at The Bevy. In Hollingdean we are offering Digital Skills; a great course for those who need to update their computer skills for the demands of modern living. Our online courses include Social Media Marketing; super useful for anyone wishing to start their own business or running a community project.
Courses are between 6 and 9 weeks long and have a concessionary rate of £25 for people aged 65 or over, or for those on a means tested benefit or low income.
Please get in touch if you would like a brochure. We are always keen to hear about what you would like to see provided locally so drop us a line and let us know.
For those who can travel to Woodingdean, we have a number of classes from Social History, Creative writing, Gentle Yoga, Chi Gung and Meditation.
