Varndean College student, Harry Dawes, has recently been awarded Sussex Police’s ‘Individual Cadet of the Year’ award. Harry, who was a former student at the Burgess Hill Academy (formerly Oakmeeds Community College) is currently studying for the BTEC Diploma in Public Services (equivalent to 2 A Levels), alongside a BTEC Sub Diploma in Applied Biology, and hopes to follow a career either with Sussex Police or as an airline pilot in the future.
Varndean College currently has nine students who are Police cadets throughout different units in Sussex. We congratulate Harry on this splendid achievement.
