Adult Education at Varndean College is looking to introduce more qualifications to support the career change you may be looking for or support you back into employment or simply, upskill you for everyday life. We have analysed the labour market information (LMI) for Greater Brighton and focused on qualifications that have clear progression routes to our local employers.
Our popular CPCAB counselling courses provide a pathway to becoming a qualified counsellor and this industry is forecast to grow 7% by 2027. We understand that many adult students have lifestyle, work or childcare commitments. Our Childcare, Teaching Assistant and Education & Training courses are designed to work around your busy schedule and are widely enjoyed. Many of our qualification courses are free if you are on low income or claiming benefits.
We also have a wide variety of leisure courses for those of you looking to learn a new hobby. New courses this year include British Sign Language, Dressmaking, Environment & Sustainability, Crochet, IT Skills for Work and many more.
Finally, community is everything to us at the College and we provide a number of affordable courses in our local community centres to positively impact inclusion and diversity.
