Senior Science Technician

£21,133 per annum, pro rata. Actual salary £19,362.40 pa

39 hrs per week, term-time plus 1 week (40 weeks)

Start date: ASAP

Varndean College is seeking a qualified Senior Science Technician to take responsibility for managing a team of science technicians in the Science Department. This will support students and teachers in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Electronics. You will work with the Assistant Head of School and appropriate Programme Leaders to ensure the effective provision of technical support across the department.

The successful applicant will have A level Biology or Chemistry (or equivalent), as well as experience of organising technical support in an educational setting.

English Literature  and Language  Maths, Sports, Biology, Chemistry and Psychology Teachers

Salary: £23,396- £38,748 per annum pro rota

Varndean College are looking for a team of suitably qualified level 2 and 3 teaching professionals to help us inspire the next generation, across a range of subjects - English Literature (A level), English Language (GCSE)  and Maths (GCSE), Biology, Sports, Psychology and Chemistry.  Across these subjects we are offering both part time as well as full time teaching positions starting in September 2018.

L2 and L3 courses include teaching GCSE, BTEC, A level and IB courses  
Candidates must have

  • A relevant degree and
  • A recognised teaching qualification/qualified teacher status

(There may be an opportunity for a Programme leader role in Chemistry for the right candidate. Please indicate on your covering letter if you would be interested).
