Adult Education at Varndean

Whether you wish to up-skill in order to secure a new job or are simply looking to learn a new skill, we have a course for you this year.

Our popular counselling courses provide a pathway to becoming a qualified counsellor. We offer a range of GCSEs, including Maths, English and Biology, to help you move forward in your career and we offer other courses to enhance employment skills. These include English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and progression routes in Childcare and Teaching Assistant courses. Many of our qualification courses are free if you are on a low income or claiming a means-tested benefit (MTB).

We have a wide variety of leisure courses for those of you looking for a course to learn a new hobby or to spice up your social life. Why not take up a new language or craft, or get fit with one of our many health and fitness classes?

Learning changes lives and it is never too late to up-skill or take up a new hobby.

Completing both courses at Varndean gave me the confidence to study a degree with the Open University in Childhood and Youth Studies.
