Varndean College is seeking to appoint reliable and experienced Cleaners for evening shifts, Mondays to Fridays. The Cleaning team is part of the Premises Dept and is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and tidy environments for staff and students. Cleaning staff work to standards outlined in the College Cleaning Specification and Floor Maintenance Programme.

An opportunity has arisen for a driven and enthusiastic person to lead the College’s mental health services, and provide leadership for the student well-being and therapy services to ensure high-quality support and care for students. They will work as part of the safeguarding team as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).

The successful candidate will work with students with mental health needs that impact students' learning, to ensure that they can access and engage in College successfully. They will liaise with academic and pastoral staff, as well as external service providers to enable students to achieve this. They will provide consultation & targeted (small group) intervention, provide individual one-to-one support for students, and conduct and advise on risk assessments where appropriate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our Cintra outsourced bureau in all tasks related to the payroll submission and our staff with any day to day payroll queries.
