We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised HR Assistant to join our busy HR team. The successful candidate would ideally have experience of working within an HR environment, have good administrative and communication skills, accurate and consistent attention to detail and a positive and flexible approach to work. An excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential, and experience with HR & Payroll software would be an advantage.

The International Department has responsibility for the recruitment, admission and on-going support of international students from a number of countries. The department is the lead in generating additional income to the College, ensuring that the College stays UKVI compliant and ensuring the safeguarding of our students in host family accommodation.

We are looking for an International Student Host Family Coordinator. The role will assist the International Students Manager with supporting international students primarily with the administration of our host family service but also with marketing and admissions support.

The successful applicant will be will be a confident and sensitive communicator with significant administrative experience, who is comfortable working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and managing competing priorities using your own initiative.

Varndean College is seeking a highly motivated, forward thinking individual as our Director of MIS and Registry to join our dedicated MIS and Registry team.

The overall requirement of the Director of MIS and Registry is to lead the day-to-day activities in relation to enrolment, timetables, registers, and funding compliance. To ensure that the College funding returns to stakeholders are on time, accurate and compliant.

The successful candidate will have strategic oversight and management of all College Management Information Systems, Digital Strategy and IT services, including the maintenance and security of the College network and the development of new IT systems to support the College to provide a high quality IT network and resources to support the College mission and strategic aims. You will need to be able to provide advice and guidance to senior leaders and curriculum staff in relation to all aspects of funding and will ensure that the college is compliant with funding guidance and be able to meet audit requirements at all times.

An experienced administrator to oversee the administration of Adult and Community Education, including enrolments and course enquiries. This post requires exceptional organisational and communication skills, and a high degree of IT literacy.

The successful applicant will be an experienced administrator with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines as well as having excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a range of people.

Experience of working in customer care in a student centred academic environment is desirable.

Varndean College is looking to recruit a well-qualified and experienced Adult Education CACHE Tutor to teach a variety of CACHE education and care courses.

The course appeals to a variety of learners from sectors, such as healthcare, social care, and education. As a tutor you will supervise the work carried out by learners to:

  • monitor their progress and prevent plagiarism
  • use virtual learning environments eg Moodle and Google Classroom
  • ensure that the work completed is in accordance with the qualification specification and is suitable for internal assessment

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate should have a recognised teaching qualification and experience of teaching/working with children or young people.

In addition, an ability to adopt a variety of strategies to suit students’ different learning styles and proven ability to plan and prepare courses and lessons is required. You should be able to teach remotely if required.
